Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing preparation of financial statements, business/personal tax returns, business consultation for small business clients, and other responsibilities. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for running a full section of clients and overseeing that work is completed timely and successfully.

Technical Job Requirements:

  • CPA license or CPA candidate
  • 5+ years’ experience working in public accounting industry

Personal Skill Requirements:

  • This position requires a client service orientated personality
  • Personable and professional with good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to relate to the client’s needs
  • Possesses the ability to motivate him/herself, set own agenda, multi-task, and prioritize workload while delivering accurate work
  • A team spirit – someone who wishes to excel, improve, and grow professionally as an individual and as part of a team
  • Understands the process flow, meets deadlines, and manages expectations with all concerned parties
  • New client development is a plus but not a requirement for a successful career with EWH
    Takes control and ownership of an issue, reporting the end result to concerned parties in a timely, concise, proactive manner

Bookkeeper/Accounting Assistant

The Accounting Assistant is responsible for monthly financial statement preparation, general client maintenance, bank reconciliation, adjusting journal entries, sales tax returns, and fixed asset schedule maintenance. On a yearly basis, Assistants are responsible for year-end W-2’s, 1099’s, and personal property tax returns. Additional duties may include the preparation of timely payroll tax deposits and related filing instructions including quarterly payroll tax returns.

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll for multiple clients. He or she must be able to prioritize work flow, resolve client, and system issues as needed, and proactively seek understanding of the tax implications of various employee benefits. Additional duties include the preparation of timely payroll tax deposits and related filing instructions including quarterly payroll tax returns and year end W-2’s.
